Finance function review

The finance team were not supporting the business through providing insight and analysis. Too much time was being spent on transactions and reporting. Managers did not feel they were receiving value.

 

We developed a method to review the finance processes and tasks. We then worked with the staff to identify low-value and repetitive activity and how the team could focus on value-added activity.

 

We assessed the processes with some eliminated and others automated. A Continuous Improvement programme will make further improvement. The changes resulted in a 20% saving in finance costs.
